All things Whedon really do connect (see: Aliens where a character says shes "5x5" which eventually becomes Faith's response to pretty much everything...) And the quality and love for his characters, and the mix of drama with wit is definitely addictive. I also think in some ways that its truer to life than stories which seem to cover one or the other- because the two are so inextricably linked in our experiences.
